My infield depth was lacking so this deal takes care of that along with giving me a group of guys cost controlled for the next few years.

I didn’t expect to move the guys I am but when an offer gets put on the table like this I have to reevaluate. My team is in a rebuild and I’m not going to get the caliber of guys in FA that I am here. I’m mortgaging long term cap but again I can’t get or win these type of guys in free agency.
