Title: Anaheim & Tampa Bay Trade
Post by: Tyler on December 19, 2015, 06:26:26 PM
Okposo, Maatta, Garland & 1st Rounder

for

Panarin, Lindholm & Buchnevich

For me this lowers cap space and adds a player I coveted with Panarin. I give up a lot but love this move for my re-tool in Anaheim.

Thanks Mark for the loooong talks.

Sorry it's Hampus and roster space shouldn't be an issue as Okposo is the one one needing a main spot as Maata is on 2 way and Garland is in minors.

I think if Maata is dropped it puts Tampa over the minor cap?

SORRY FOR THE LATE CONFIRM!!!
Idk what happened to my emails, they're always outta whack, but I just got the email from tyler saying that it was posted. I'm in Finland, so service sucks, so yeah.

Anyways, Bolts confirm.

Should be OK as Panarin and Buchnevich are coming to me from his minors so he will be essentially replacing them with Maatta and Garland

I believe Tampa sending Maata down puts over the salary cap in their minors. Or am I missing something?

What we are missing is input from Tampa.

:TBL: receives:

Kyle Okposo, $4.1m (2017-18)
Olli Maatta, $1.0m (2015-16)
Conor Garland, N/C (0 games)
:ANA: Round 1

:ANA: receives:

Hampus Lindholm, $2.3m (2016-17)
Artemi Panarin, N/C (0 games)
Pavel Buchnevich, N/C (0 games)

Either way, this deal is invalid.  If Maatta stays in the NHL, if puts Tampa over the roster limit.  If he goes to the minors, Tampa goes over the cap limit.  Also, if he stays in the NHL, it puts Tampa over the cap in the NHL. We will have to wait and hear from Drew, but it looks like this deal needs worked on.

Worst case scenario he can send me a scrub in the minors he doesn't want as I have the space. That will even it all out.

Mark is in Finland now so response time is harder for him I believe.

Ok Sissons works.

We will probably have to repost though I assume

Might as well repost with the corrected deal. I'll lock this one.
