Calgary Flames and Carolina Hurricanes agree to a deal. Canes clear cap space and ship veteran blueliner McDonagh (having a down season) to Calgary in return for a 2nd Round pick in the 2020 FNHL Entry Draft. 30yo McDonagh can become a UFA this summer if he isn't resigned.

Ryan McDonagh, $5.3m (2017-2020)

Trade to Carolina
Round 2 - 2020  (from :CLG:)
$5.3m in cap savings
