Gents,

The first set of free agents have been signed and have arrived to their respectative homes for July, 17th

What team was the big winner?
What team overpaid?
Thoughts on the first set of signings?
What do you think of the UFA Tracker?

I really like Dallas signing Deryk for $0.3m for 2 years.

Ive never been a huge Petry fan so signing him for anything over a mill is more than I would pay.  In fantasy $1.5m for a d-man typically is pretty darn good if the players brings good stuff to the table but I just don't feel Petry brings that much.  I would much rather sign someone like Petry for $0.3-$0.8 mill range.  Am I wrong in my thoughts on Mr. Petry?  Is he worth the money?  Does he have the upside to him? Should it have been for 1 year instead until he proves himself more?  Lets have some discussion on this :-)

Nothing else to big happened on the first set of signings, but I like that nobody is outrageously priced thus far.

Im really going to love this tracking system, gives us all stuff to look at and talk about while we wait for the greatest sport on the planet to re-begin in October.

I think Petry at 1.5 is good, he will be a slid dman on a better EDM team ths year, I like Georges at 2M as well, the guy blocks a ton of shots and hits and puts up good FP numbers
