The fact is that it was the end of the MLB season last year. No GM was made aware that the deadline was approaching, so it varies from last year, thus changing expectations. Plus, most don't know that the season has ended. I had no idea the WS was over. I'm all for hard caps, but when the entire league, including 4 very active and aware members (Colby, me, Corey, and rob) had no idea this deadline had passed, that may be a problem in communication. After all it is a really important date.
Rob and others, please don't bring me into this without me posting in this thread.I believe some people asked me about the rules and I gave what I knew off the top of my head. I thought it was until the end of the MLB regular season. Free agency has always ended at the end of the fantasy regular season but we have had contract extensions until the end of the MLB regular season or a couple weeks afterward. The key reason is that many want to wait until a player's market value is finalized.
