Patriots cornerback Alfonzo Dennard has been convicted of assaulting an officer and resisting arrest in Lincoln, Nebraska. This incident happened on April 21st 2012, five days before the NFL draft where the Patriots selected him in the 7th round. Dennard would of most likely been a 2nd round selection had it not been for his arrest. Dennard and another man got into an argument in a bar and was told to leave. As Dennard was leaving an officer saw him hit somebody and when he tried to arrest him Dennard punched him. Dennard is to be sentenced on April 11th and could face up to six years in prison.
