The Ducks confirm this trade.
I hated to see both players go but Simmonds was going to cost a lot to resign so it was better to get something now then to possibly not resign him and get nothing in return. I also hated to see Parayko go as well but hopefully I have his replacement in Theodore or another Dman that can maybe take his place for far cheaper contract. Otherwise hopefully I can get one in FA that is just as good at some point.
I get 2 very young forwards on great contracts with a lot of potential that will help with the rebuild of the Ducks. They will add to the stability of my other forwards for a few years until they need to be resigned. Mark Stuart was probably just a throw in to get the salaries closer together. In any case I do plan on buying him out since I won't have the room for him and not part of the rebuilding process because of his age.
