As was foreshadowed a year ago and then again this off-season....
Florida sells some great young prospect talent to get great young already-in-the-NHL talent.

I will have a ton of cap this coming off-season so next year is really the year to look out for my Florida team!
In the meantime, maybe I'll continue hitting teams on off-weeks and keep my record looking respectable with these NHL additions!

+$3m cash to Vancouver in 2014-15 season
+$6m cash to Vancouver in 2015-16 season

Florida Gets:
G Thatcher Demko, $m (P-n/a)

Florida does this for a couple of reasons:
- I'm a Canucks fan so I like their prospects over Florida's (Ha... yes it's true)
- I have lots of cap next year still, it's 2 years from now when I need to re-sign a bunch of guys that I'll need my cap

Along with some expiring contracts this will give Gilly enough cap to be under the cap max next season with all those crazy contracts he has
And it also gives him a nice free agent this year with the money for this season to help him compete

  • Jwalkerjr88: Idk if anyone remembers the 2021 class but it was weak on offense outside or the top 10-15. I dont regret the deal just learned and move on. As long as you have assets, you can mold your build how you want. Picks are usually the most valuable asset because most gms want in on a draft.
