C Andrew Shaw, $4.3m (2017-2018)
X- 2018 3rd Round Draft Pick, Vegas, $m this year
X- 2019 3rd Round Draft Pick, Pittsburgh, $m this year
pittsburgh gets
C Tyler Bozak, $0.5m (2017-2018)
Revised edition taking 2 picks off of the last deal including the 2nd rounder
PIT still saves $3.8m in cap and doesn't lose out on production this year (gains some in fact)
I didn't plan on being involved in FA so I can take the cap hit

pittsburgh agrees to the trade. my hole objective in makeing this trade is to clear some cap this year. what im doing im moveing high priced guys knowing they are free agents after this year for cheapper contracts in doing this i have a better chance in signing more of my fa. the previous owner made the team good but doing that he also made it difficult for me after 2017-2018 to sign all these guys. i understand the value of draft picks but true fully in this league we only have 15 minor league spot open. that being said i got to seriously look at every player i draft and see if the value is worth me loseing a spot in the minors. i am win know owner and build my minors up slowely. im willing to move a few picks if i have to get the players i want. look at this yr i had no draft picks and i was ok with it. that being said i feal like this is a win for pittsburgh i get a guy i like inreturn for a over priced player and i move 2 3rd picks to get it done.

Given the type of player that could be acquired for $3.8m I think this is pretty fair. I agree with the others about the last trade - 4 picks was too much.
