A simple reminder, you'll be familiar with lots of settings as most leagues pickup from one another. However, FNHL isnt a league that aims to be realistuc! We aim to have a competittve enviro where adults drop by to go hard, fight for resources and forget about the day to day stuff.
Goalies are very valuable and carry high cap hits of as April 2014 see extension values.
Defense is relatively scarce.
Draft picks are valuable because we dont allow for promotion/demotion. Once promoted, prospects stay on the active roster.
Draft picks are also valuable because teams can only draft players eligible in that specific yr's NHL entry draft (cannot cherry pick prospects from past years).
Centres have alightly more expensive valuations than Wingers.
There are no waivers because in a 30 team league its one less transaction to process.
FA is staggered by position because it keeps bidding sane (no limit to open bids per team).
The rules are the rules (aside from Multi-tram ownership guidelines which we will open the discussion on... first full yr we are allowing it).

And no, not all rules or scoring settings make sense but thats what is in place and as lobg as everyone buys in it's a level playing field.
Given this is fantasy, some rules are there to allow teams to avoid being saddled with the bad decisions of a previously owner.
Example, buyout discounts, Amnesty buyouts, buyout and resign same player, extensions taking effect immediately, etc.
