Title: Run Away Train Blues
Post by: GypsieDeathBringer on November 16, 2017, 04:18:26 PM
I don't know if you all are like me and are pretty deflated by the absolute dominance the Blues are displaying, so I wanted to check them out and see if some regression is in their future.

Forwards on pace to score around 70+ points and D-man 50+ points playing 82 games.   I'll show a (pts per 82games/career high points scored) to put it in perspective.  Red is regression negatively to the mean.  Green is regression positively to the mean.

15-16:  Barkov (73/59), Tarasenko (76/75), Hedman (50/72), Weber (54/56), Shattenkirk (50/43) , Josi (62/61)

16-17:  Barkov (70/59), Huberdeau (69/59), Tarasenko (75/75), Hedman (74/72), Josi (56/61), Shattenkirk (57/43)

17-18:  Barkov (92/59), Couturier (87/39), Huberdeau (101/59), Schwartz (103/63), Tarasenko (95/75), Zucker (72/47), Hedman (60/72), Josi (52/61), Pietrangelo (69/51), Weber (55/56), Monahan (73/63), Larkin (78/45) ,  Shattenkirk (73/43) , Chabot (55) , Williams (66/76)

Numbers say he is probably going to stop scoring so many points, but still beat us all.  So.... still deflated

Big kudos to Shooter as he built a juggernaut.  The only thing that will beat him is the salary cap eventually.  I'm sure he will pull off some savvy trades though and make it work.  Its a testament to him as a GM.  He's done a great job.  Looking like we may be on the verge of a dynasty in Dynasty NHL!  :STL-NHL:
