Backyard NHL: Invalid Transactions / Re: Chicago and Ottawa make a trade« on: April 25, 2012, 10:20:57 PM »Looks like a nice little deal though I'm surprised Ottawa got the better pick as well as Read. 3654

For the sake of clarity, I reconfirm this deal.

Backyard NHL: Archives / Re: Nashville/Toronto Deal« on: April 25, 2012, 09:38:10 PM »So this trade is officially invalid? I think the interpretation is that it was a valid offer....that was withdrawn. It's not a trade until confirmed by both parties. 3656

Thanks for the ruling. With apologies to hockeyfreak, the offer was withdrawn as of 8:29pm yesterday. I'll contact him again to see if an alternate deal can be worked.
This makes the Karlsson deal valid and confirmed but I'll get hold of Norry again to reconfirm. 3658

If I am not free to withdraw my offer:
My suggestion on this would be to specify a time-out period whereby an offer that has been tendered but not signed by both parties is indeed free to be withdrawn. 48 hours perhaps? If that's acceptable then my offer for Chara stands as it is well within that time frame. No matter what, you just can't expect to leave it hanging there indefinitely. 3660

Not here to rock the boat but I would like to hear a ruling on this. I don't see it as backing out of a deal if the deal isn't completed but if that's the way it is I will abide by the decision without issue.
