Post by: PigsRule on February 11, 2014, 01:52:44 PM
Well organized and established dynasty league has franchises for sale. Only serious competitive owners wanted!  :win:
Want to own a franchise in an ULTRA DEEP 30-team league, contact me or post here!

Entry Fee Applies
$30.00USD :money:  (as of June 12, 2014)

These Franchise NHL Teams available for purchase:

:ANA: ANAHEIM DUCKS   SOLD
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8345.0
* Ducks franchise was destroyed very early on in the history of FNHL (mid-point of year 1). A lopsided deal with the eventual FNHL Stanley Cup winner that saw the departure of Ryan Getzlaf, Corey Perry, Cam Fowler and Jonas Hiller to name the core players lost in return for what amounted to a bag of pucks left the Anaheim franchise in the gutter especially after the Ducks owner left town shortly after that terrible trade. Fast forward to 2012, recently departed owner Cloud91 has left a solid foundation for the next owner to guide to the Cup after rebuild for 2 seasons! Ducks ended 2013-14 as the Pacific Division Champions and have a highly competitive roster that can compete nightly.

:BUF-NHL3: BUFFALO SABRES  SOLD
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8299.0
* Here's the perfect fast rebuild franchise for anyone looking to shape a roster to their liking. This Sabres franchise features 3 potential starting goalies in Miller, Neuvirth and Enroth. After that, the team is paper thin upfront and requires lots of players to field a truly competitive team, but that should be easy given the team's expected 19m-21m in available cap space come the opening of Free Agency this August 10, 2014.  :toast:

:CAR-NHL: CAROLINA HURRICANES   SOLD
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8311.0
* Another great franchise to rebuild and lead to the promiseland! The cornerstones of the team are Cam Ward, Faulk, Johnson, Atkinson, Steen, and Eric Staal. The franchise has had steady ownership since inception. This is your opportunity to own a contender!

:COL-NHL: COLORADO AVALANCHE  SOLD
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8347.0
* Cory Schneider leads this team with Philipp Grubauer waiting in the shadows. This is a young franchise that's ready to mature next year and compete for a playoff spot. The future is very bright in Colorado with the likes of Huberdeau, Silfverberg, Kuznetsov, Duchene, Dumba, Reinhart already on the Active roster and Tomas Jurco, Corey Hishon, Hunter Shinkaruk, Scott Mayfield, and a quartet of young goalies in the farm! The Avs greatest asset in 2014-15 will be :money: $12m - $20m :money: in cap space to work with! Plenty of cap for a true Franchise Architect to play with.  :toast:

:DAL-NHL: DALLAS STARS  AVAILABLE AS OF AUGUST 27, 2014   SOLD
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8350.0
* The Dallas Stars are a former Presidents Trophy winner (2012-13) and has made consistent appearances in the Western Conference Finals since the league started in 2010-11. This franchise has only had 1 active owner who also happened to be an ex-commissioner during the 2011-12 season and has been well cared for. Corey Crawford will lead this franchise for years to come and the roster features young and veteran stars such as Taylor Hall, Plekanec, Lupul, Eriksson, Ryan Murphy, Dougie Hamilton, Enstrom, and Pietrangelo. When you purchase this team, the important thing do is not ruin a good thing!

:EDM: EDMONTON OILERS   SOLD
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8348.0
* Any Oiler fans out there? This is your chance to own a great franchise. Your core players to build around are Toews, Zetterberg, van Riemsdyk, Gagner, Keith, and the duo of Darcy Kuemper and Niklas Backstrom in net. The team's Minor League system features a few Bluechippers including Jack Campbell, Henrik Samuelsson, Nick Cousins, Nick Sorensen, Cameron Gaunce, and Bo Horvat. Lots of potential with this Oilers franchise.

:MIN-NHL: MINNESOTA WILD   SOLD
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8349.0
* A storied franchise in FNHL. They won the FNHL Stanley Cup their first 2 years in the league. A favorable trade in Year 1 helped solidify this team as a perennial contender however with numerous expiring contracts of Superstar players through their line-up, this franchise must make tough decisions to stay competitive in the future. The challenge will be icing another contender without making difficult roster decisions this off-season with little cap space to work with.

:MON-NHL: MONTREAL CANADIENS  SOLD
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8303.0
* Canadiens also feature Fasth & Dubnyk in goal, an excellent minor league system, and a good core to build around! The team is led by a young core of players Bailey, Tatar, Conacher, Desharnais, Eakin, and Maatta with a couple of veterans to anchor the roster in Bieksa and Brouwer. This franchise's greatest strength is its Minor League system which features the likes of Curtis Lazar, Scott Harrington, Stefan Noesen, Tim Bozon, Sebastien Collberg, Jarred Tinordi, and Magnus Hellberg. The future looks bright in Montreal.

:NJD: NEW JERSEY DEVILS   SOLD
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8308.0
* Perhaps one of the best kept secrets in the league is the New Jersey Devils franchise which features young bluechippers RNH (Ryan Nugent-Hopkins) and All World goalie Semyon Varlamov! The team has an excellent group on defense with veterans Timonen and Garrison leading a cast of young guns such as Cowen, Gudas, Nikitin, Petry, and DeKeyser. In the minor leagues, top prospects waiting for a call up include Mark Visentin, Miikka Salomaki, Seth Griffith, and Ty Rattie. The Devils have a reasonable amount of cap to work with in the range of :money: $7m - $15m :money: in 2014-15.

:NYI: NEW YORK ISLANDERS    SOLD
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8307.0
* Another perennial contender, the last owner helped elevate this franchise to elite status as a regular season powerhouse but the competition is much stiffer during the post-season and the team bowed out of the Play-offs in Round 1 this year. This is a very well balanced team with the challenge of maintaining the roster given their tight cap situation. However, the off-season will see the Isls unlock approximately 6.0m in buy-out cap space and receive an additional 5-7m when the 2014-15 salary cap is made official. This is a franchise that should be a serious competitor for the next few seasons.

:NYR: NEW YORK RANGERS  SOLD
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8306.0
* Broadway Blue Shirts have a big stable of secondary goalies to rotate in and out of the starter's spot nightly! The franchise also showcases stud players, Patrick Kane, Hossa, Evander Kane and a handful of up and coming young players in Andrew Shaw, Jimmy Hayes and Mikael Backlund.

:TBL: TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING  SOLD
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8312.0
* Any team that features 2 All-Star starting goalies in this league is bound to be a serious threat for the Cup annually. That's the case with :TBL: who can throw Mike Smith or Antti Niemi at you any given night. Stamkos leads a cast of young talented skaters on this team. Any perspective owner will have to closely monitor the cap situation with little available cap space to work with in Tampa.

:VAN: VANCOUVER CANUCKS   SALE PENDING
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8354.0
* Features stud goalie Marc Andre Fleury of the powershouse NHL Penguins. Zachary Fucale is the team's goalie of the future in the minor league system. From there the franchise will require some building out but the core players are there to work with in the Sedin Twins, Penner, Muzzin and Edler. The Nucks' greatest asset moving forward will be :money: $14m - $20m :money: in available cap to shape the team with during the off-season in through Free Agency starting in August 2014!

...
Entry Fee (non-refundable, ensure you review league's rules & set-up before signing up)
(1) All new team owners are to pay $3020-$25USD their first year in Franchise NHL.
* this first year fee ensures new owners are committed
* cost to enter a mature, well organized and stable league environment
(2) Returning team owners are to pay $5USD starting their second year in the league.

Each one of these teams has a great core of players to build around.

None will have any challenges competing once a dedicated new owner purchases them and sets the franchise's strategic direction. They are a few moves from being top contenders! :win: :judge:

If I had a chance to add another franchise to my stable I'd buy either Colorado or Vancouver.

The :COL-NHL2: Avs look like they're ready to compete for the Cup. They have been every year this league's been around but were a few moves shy.

The :VAN: Canucks have the Sedins and MAF. That and $20 million other reasons they'll be competitive when Free Agency opens in August.

Tyler is resigning from FNHL once his team's playoff run ends.
Class move with that heads up post Tyler! That's Class man. :toast:

:MIN-NHL: will be made available to a new owner after the playoffs. That's a sweet franchise to own. Two time FNHL Stanley Cup Champ. Two time President's Trophy winner for finishing 1st overall in the regular season.

I think Tyler should sell that :MIN-NHL: franchise of his for a profit. Let's set that franchise fee at 50$ LOL I'm kidding. Or am I? LOL

You can own up to 2 teams but they cannot be in the same Conference and there are a few other rules around owning 2 teams. Pigs outlined them here http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=132717.0

In a cap league :MIN-NHL: the WILD are easily the team in the worst situation man!  :puke:

Why?
None of the extensions were signed in season especially the goalie extensions.

So for Jonas Hiller, $4.5m (2013-2014) his extension could've been 3m before April 14th and now that the new Goalie extensions values have kicked in Hiller will cost the new owner $7 million bucks to resign.  :puke: :puke: :puke:

That on top of 0.9m in cap space  :puke: as we speak with 17 of 25 roster players (70% of the team will walk to FA unless the new owner finds cap space to work with) with expiring contracts  :puke: including Hiller, Ellis, Jagr, Dustin Brown, Stafford, Gonchar, Fowler and Erik Karlsson. Crap!  :puke:

:MIN-NHL: Minnesota Wild are going to be a project for anyone to buy into!

I will say the :VAN: Nucks are in the roughest shape of all available franchises because they dont have many true assets on their roster or MiLR to worl with. yes they have the sedins, edler and MAF but not much else aside from Furcale down on the farm.

there are some avail cap dollars to work with during FA so that helps.

I think there's something here that could be considered. Namely that if secondary teams were not selected but assigned from the bottom ranking up. It would guarantee that the Franchises in the best shape were still available and would attract new GM's. Meanwhile, existing hyper-committed GM's would have a project to work on as stewards for betterment of the League.

I think that's a great pt. At the same time in a paid league where a second team costs the same as the first that would be challenging to get people to accept.

It would make the most sense in a free league.

If the idea has as much merit as I think then the issue is with the valuation of the 2nd team. Give it a $5 discount. Anyone buying into a second franchise is already a mad fantasy hockey addict. The motivation for getting another team should be more about about helping the league than winning money. IMO

Yeah. I could be talked into a wager.

Nucks results since the league was founded:
2010-11 - 3rd Overall
2011-12 - 24th
2012-13 - 21st
2013-14 - 28th
AVERAGE FINISH = 19th over 4 seasons

Let's say I buy the team and lead them to a top 19 finish, then you pay me back the buy-in fee.
If not, I will have spent my time and my own cash runnng the :VAN: Canucks.

I considered a lower cost for an owner to purchase a second team. In the end it came down to 2 things:

1. keeping franchise values up instead of down.
2. any good owner can take an available team and turn them into an FNHL Stanley Cup Winner so lets not devalue franchises.

as for helping the league, there are many ways... invite savvy fantasy hky owners to this cap league, join :TC: , take on an :EC: role such as roster cop, etc.  :toast:

To be honest I am not a fan of secondary ownership at all. It thins out the number of personalities I can swing trades with. So, in this context I imagine some GM's guiding select franchises for free. It would essentially be a public service that frees up the Commissioners while adding diversity and value to said franchises. They would not be devalued at all as they would remain FNHL property and continue to be available for sale.

Of course inviting skilled new GM's to the table is always good advice but I am looking beyond the current vacancy rate. If in the future we have 100% ownership we could actually lose out on great new blood as fully one third of the league could have overlapping GM's. For me that is a troubling thought. I am not writing this to be difficult or even to continue an argument but I do have a different vision. In expressing it I hope to enrich the league and to confirm that I will be an active participant.

Always good to have a discussion about league matters.
MLS started with owners owning multiple franchises. It was something the helped stablize the young league.

:iatp:

Franchise NHL continues to source ownership for available franchise. We will work to bring the best, most competitive and knowledgeable hockey owners into the league.

We are not simply looking to fill spots, we want to create a competitive environment where teams develop both short and long term strategies to win the FNHL Stanley Cup and claim the prize money! :money:

List of available franchises is listed in the original post of this thread and will be updated regularly. :toast:

These Franchise NHL Teams available for purchase:

:ANA: ANAHEIM DUCKS
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8345.0

:BUF-NHL3: BUFFALO SABRES
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8299.0
* Here's the perfect fast rebuild franchise for anyone looking to shape a roster to their liking. This Sabres franchise features 3 potential starting goalies in Miller, Neuvirth and Enroth. After that, the team is paper thin upfront and requires lots of players to field a truly competitive team, but that should be easy given the team's expected 19m-21m in available cap space come the opening of Free Agency this August 10, 2014.  :toast:

:toast:

:EDM: EDMONTON OILERS
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8348.0
* Any Oiler fans out there? This is your chance to own a great franchise.

:MIN-NHL: MINNESOTA WILD
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8349.0
* A storied franchise in FNHL. They won the FNHL Stanley Cup their first 2 years in the league. A favorable trade in Year 1 helped solidify this team as a perennial contender however with numerous expiring contracts of Superstar players through their line-up, this franchise must make tough decisions to stay competitive in the future. The challenge will be icing another contender without making difficult roster decisions this off-season with little cap space to work with.

:MON-NHL: MONTREAL CANADIENS
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8303.0
* Canadiens also feature Fasth & Dubnyk in goal, an excellent minor league system, and a good core to build around!

:NJD: NEW JERSEY DEVILS
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8308.0

:VAN: VANCOUVER CANUCKS
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8354.0
* Features stud goalie Marc Andre Fleury of the powershouse NHL Penguins. Zachary Fucale is the team's goalie of the future in the minor league system. From there the franchise will require some building out but the core players are there to work with in the Sedin Twins, Penner, Muzzin and Edler. The Nucks' greatest asset moving forward will be :money: $14m - $20m :money: in available cap to shape the team with during the off-season in through Free Agency starting in August 2014!

A few teams left for sale...

That would be the 6th team to be owned by an owner with existing team.

The guidelines state a limit of 5. Perhaps a league vote is in order?

Have been thinking of picking up the Anaheim Ducks for my kid & I to manage since the season ended ... but felt I should try to let a new owner have a shot.

Question: Anyone object to me buying the :ANA: team? I would like to make it happen before August 6th.

Post your feedback!

...

:DAL-NHL: DALLAS STARS  AVAILABLE AS OF AUGUST 27, 2014
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=8350.0

It's official!
Franchise NHL's :DAL-NHL: DALLAS STARS are up for sale!

Interested? Think you can lead Dallas to the FNHL Stanley Cup can claim the +$300USD payout to the league champion? PM myself + PsychoticPondGoons (PPG) and get ready to submit payment of $30USD.
Also, as several individuals may be interested we reserve the right to select the most suitable owner who shows 100% interest and will ensure this franchise remains a contender for years to come.

Please Supply the following information:

First Name:  Frank
Profsl ID: fperric
Fantrax ID:  fperric
Email: (optional until you are accepted into FNHL) fperric@comcast.net
Why you want to play in this league (did you read the restrictions in the rules section first)?: yes, read rules.  pretty much mirrors my profsl/fantrax baseball league.  i am tired of 16-20 team leagues where gms can still run to the waiver wire to rescue their seasons.  need the depth in both scoring and roster size.

Answer ALL 3 questions below:
1) Which is the most interesting team in the NHL & why?  Flyers.  Im originally from Philly.  nuf said? lol
2) Which skater position (excludes goalies) is more important on-ice and why?  great D-man.  position scarcity.
3) What do you hate most about the NHL & what's the fix? Gary Betteman and Sidney Crosby are too easy, so i'll say I hate watching a game from a warm weather city like Dallas on the Center Ice Package and seeing an empty arena and sounding like it's being broadcast from a local skating rink.  Fix?  Move them back North.

Please tell me you have an opening.  Long time [(20yrs) yes 20.  I'm forty and have been playing since the days of having to do everything manually on pen and paper. lol] fantasy hockey guy needs much bigger challenge.
Thanks,
  Frank

Frank is our kind of people. Good answer.

Spent 3months in Houston for work a few yrs back. It was during hockey season and its just not the same as watching a game in the North! Like going to a ballgame in an arena people werent into it at all.
