SDP Round 2 - 2021 :DET-NHL:

Thanks to Mordecai and Montreal for sending my favourite player Morgan Rielly to Hockeytown. He hits, blocks, shoots and scores. Been following Rielly since his days in Moose Jaw of the WHL. He'll be the centrepiece of our retooling in Detroit. Montreal to confirm.

Franchise NHL: Completed Transactions / DET extension J.Howard
« on: August 12, 2020, 03:07:09 PM »
Detroit will hand Howard another contract. I think the guy's got unfinished business and wants to keep playing for another couple of years.

Jimmy Howard, $5.3m (2017-2020)  #17 G 18/19   $7.3m (2020-2024)

If Howard signs with another NHL team, will I be able to get the Franchise Player discount on Howard? I'm guessing my franchise drafted him. How can I verify that information (ex. get access the the 2011 Fantrax site to check)?

New York Islanders GM will sign extensions with these players before the off season: (Using the highest rank for each of the years 2018/19 and 2019/20 as per league extension rules)

Keith Yandle, $4.4m (2017-2020)  #26 D 18/19   $5.3m (2019-2022)

Brayden Schenn, $6.9m (2016-2020)  #17 C 19/20   $6.4m (2019-2023)  also LW, RW

Lars Eller, $1.9m (2017-2020)  #59 C 19/20   $3.0m (2019-2022)

Zach Hyman, $2.3m (2017-2020)  #56 C 18/19   $3.2m (2019-2022)

After reviewing the salaries on the Islanders and tabulating total payroll salaries, we found two accounting anomalies to be corrected:
1. Total for Defense listed at $21.3m has an actual value of $20.3m
2. Total for Left Wing listed at $16.3m should show an actual value of $14.9m
These edits would enable the New York Islanders to complete the extensions for the players listed above as indicated.

Islanders will sign extensions with these players in the off season:
Mikko Rantanen, $1.5m (2017-2020)  #17 RW 18/19   $7.7m (2020-2024)

Joonas Donskoi, $0.6m (2018-2020)  #115 RW 19/20   $0.7m (2020-2022)

Robby Fabbri, $0.6m (2018-2020)  #133 RW 19/20   $0.7m (2020-2022)

Mike Reilly, $0.9m (2018-2020) #153 D 19/20   $1.2m (2020-2022)

Please advise if there are any inaccurate calculations for the above listed extension contracts posted. Many Thanks for everyone's PM help understanding how to get these contracts resigned.

  • jmntl82: How did the other team finish?
    May 28, 2024, 10:16:01 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: It was dallas. I think he missed the playoffs that year. Then used the draft picks on the 2021 class. Every pick was the 32nd pick (dont remembee what the other 1st became)
    May 28, 2024, 10:18:22 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: Idk if anyone remembers the 2021 class but it was weak on offense outside or the top 10-15. I dont regret the deal just learned and move on. As long as you have assets, you can mold your build how you want. Picks are usually the most valuable asset because most gms want in on a draft.

  • Jwalkerjr88: The results of that draft class is here [link]
    May 28, 2024, 10:20:27 PM

    May 28, 2024, 10:20:54 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: The 2024 and 2025 classes look much more promising than that one lol

  • BayAreaBallers: 2021 draft class was my worst class as a NFL Live gm. my 2022 and 2023 were better
    May 28, 2024, 10:32:52 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: I think it was the worst for most of us. It was a bad class overall. The top was amazing tho

  • Brent: Well that brings back memories when I was on the ProFSL staff and paid.
  • Daddy: ProFSL has to be established by having great product or at least different product. We had the same old members. "Get off my lawn" types wanting to run leagues that were identical to the others. If you want 100 of the same old guys never chatting and no guests on the site. We had how many years of that?
  • Daddy: If running a league is so hard, How can i run 6 of them? At the same time.

  • Daddy: No moderators, no leagues, no leagues no traffic, no traffic no staff, no staff no profsl.
  • Daddy: Its not as easy to find moderators. And if you are a moderator to come up with start up league concepts and do all that manual work. It takes a rare breed.
