FYI

The rosters on the board here are linked through yahoolando's google drive account.  I need to set up my own account and change all the links.  I'll try to have it done by the end of the weekend.  For now, please use FanTrax if the links here aren't working.

Since contract information must be posted with a trade, trading is suspended until the spreadsheets are available to the league once more.  This should be completed by the end of the weekend.  Thanks.

Updated trades in 2013 draft round 12 and 15.  Draft positions are fully up to date.  Updated franchise name change, Houston and Pittsburgh switch.  Completed in draft starting middle of round 9, complete in FanTrax.  Updated ownership list.

question: maybe I am missing it on the board somewhere but with FA right around the corner is there a list of guys that are FA?

I'll have to give the rosters a once over to make sure but I'd like to assume everyone available in FanTrax is up for free agency.  I'll need to confirm that the rosters are accurate before we go with that assumption though.

I am more than willing to check all posted FA to make sure they are not on a roster when FA begins.

Do players in IR count against salary cap?

Do players in IR count against salary cap?

Yes, all contracts are guaranteed and count against cap even if the player is on IR or demoted.

What are the rules for moving a player from minors to majors  (and vice versa)?   Are there any repercussions for demoting a player?

Demoting a player exposes a player to waivers (48 hours) which allows any team to put a claim on the player.  If a team makes a claim, you will lose that player.  So, once you promote a player he'll have to pass through waivers to be demoted.

Can we change the money to international to keep the Soo trade from being nullified? Soo has to retire soon.

You are free to trade international money but like Chris said you can't trade salary cap unless it's attached to a player to help pay for part or all of his salary for a specific amount of time.

If you want to do a new trade with intl money feel free to post a new trade after working out details with the Padres.

Thanks, got it. Cap space is used to cover players acquired.

I lost slugger Paul Janish. Say it ain't so. I read the post that says he was signed to a 1 year deal in 2014, however, he was signed by the Mets in 2015 in the post below.

You're correct.  Janish should have been released to free agency at some point.

Does the waiver order reset or is it based on record?

Does the 48 hour window begin when a player is waived or after being fantraxed?

Thanks, again.

Must we wait 60 days before removing a player from the DL or is that player eligible when he returns from injury? Thanks.

No, you can remove him at any time but you must have a roster spot open on your 40 man roster.

Can a player claimed off waivers be traded?

Yes, I believe it's after 2 months of the claim but not positive.  It's a new rule, maybe Maydab can chime in.

Are we allowed to nominate undrafted players now?

If you are referring to...

AFB draft eligible players who were undrafted in AFB draft, yes.
Players not drafted in MLB draft but have signed pro contracts, yes.
Players not drafted in MLB draft and have not signed pro contract, no.

Of course, FA postion rules still apply, so only pitchers for now.
