Stars/Blackhawks Swing a Deal (Post-dated to Completion of 2019 Draft)

Blackhawks trade:

2020 1st Rounder
Right to resign  Artturi Lehkonen, $0.6m (2018-19)

Stars trade:

Patrice Bergeron, $5.7m (2019-20)

Committing another 5.7m cap to C is not ideal given that is my strongest position, but Bergeron is one of my favourite players and feel like this is a reasonable price. I inquired about him around deadline but we couldnt find a fit so 2nd go around made sense for both of us.

Deal is pending completion of 2019 draft.

Dallas confirm the trade,

Losing that of Bergeron will hurt Dallas in the short term but have Trocheck, B Schenn plus that of Kuznetsov that can play C.
Doing this as Dallas is in a rebuild mode, and Bergeron is 33 and his trade value won't be any higher than it is now.
Gaining that of a late first rounder in next year draft, that is suppously very strong in depth, plus that of Lehkonen who put up 30pts and who i believe could turn into a good 2nd line winger.

I would approve this trade, but it doesn't really work within the rules. The trade is post-dated until after the 2019 draft, which means that that Lehkonen won't be able to be extended.

The deal would be the 2020 1st for Bergeron, is that ok with both sides or will be Chicago be adding another piece?

Ouch, this off season has been a disaster for me but ok will talk over how to make this work hopefully.
