Franchise NHL / Re: FNHL Seattle Expansion Rules
« on: January 30, 2021, 01:04:58 PM »
The rule is "12. Must expose 1 Goalie from the regular roster or expose 3 in MiLR if there is no qualifying regular roster Goalie to be exposed,"

The rule is "11. Able to protect 7 Skaters and 1 Goalie OR 8 Skaters," - regardless of skater position F or D, C vs W vs D, all count as skaters.

Let me know if more clarity is needed. :toast:

Makes sense to me. Thanks for the clarification, PPG!

Couple of questions:

1. Since Seattle can take up to two (2) MiLR goalies ... can owners protect a MiLR goalie as our goalie (assuming we are also exposing a goalie on the active roster)? The are asking for a friend.

2. Just for clarity ... are we able to protect 7 skaters total (regardless of position ... F/D)? Or is it 7 forwards + 3 defensemen? (The rule just says 7 skaters + 1 Goalie or 8 Skaters, but I saw an example using 7 forwards + 3 defensemen.)

Thanks!

Totally makes sense. Congrats Dallas.

Honestly wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't done the exact same thing last week.

I "think" Maniscalco goes to the Stars at 2 years, $1.4 AAV through 2022

While the $4.5M bid got in under the 13-hour extension ... which would have been 5:06:34 AM ... the bid was within the final three hours and did not exceed $2M (needed to be $4.8M or more).

Correct?

Detroit and Montreal Trade Future HOF Defenseman!

Montreal trades
Morgan Rielly, $4.9m (2018-2021)
LW - Taro Hirose (SDP 2019: UNDRAFTED - 36 Games)
C - Justin Almeida (SDP 2019: 2018 5/129 - 0 Games)

Traded by Detroit
D - Quintin Hughes (SDP 2019: 2018: 1/7 - 73 Games)  Updated Sep28/20
C - Nick Robertson (2019: 2/53 - 0 Games)
Round 2 - 2020  :DET-NHL:
SDP Round 2 - 2021 :DET-NHL:

Thanks to Mordecai and Montreal for sending my favourite player Morgan Rielly to Hockeytown. He hits, blocks, shoots and scores. Been following Rielly since his days in Moose Jaw of the WHL. He'll be the centrepiece of our retooling in Detroit. Montreal to confirm.

Nice trade! I kind of give a very slight edge to the Habs, since they will have Hughes under a low cost contract for three years. But Rielly is a real point producer in the FNHL, definitely worth his contract.

  • dbreer23: Take two to tango, though. Most owners with adequate or surplus SP aren't interested in prospects as they're trying to win now.

  • Daddy: Also agreed. Top quality pitching probably means not much depth. A few injuries can challenge you. Pitching other than top end pitching has been devalued in fantasy. Everyone wants the stud.

  • Braves155: The problem with the minors is not the system as a whole, it is some Farm Systems are more 'elite' at being able to produce talent than others. If you look across MLB teams you can pretty easily tell the great systems from the weaker systems and talent development

  • Braves155: With regard to pitching in the Minors...there is  method to the madness. It is all about what you make of it tho. I agree that it can seem certain type arms in the minors are a dime a dozen
