Title: News Flash: Extensions, Transactions, and FYPD
Post by: Flash on September 29, 2020, 12:58:51 AM
GMs,

There are some teams that have some players with expiring contracts.  Those players must be extended by Sunday, October 4th (11:59 pm ET) or they will become free agents.  Once that is done, I will post a list of Type A free agents if any are released and not extended.

All teams must release or buyout players during the coming week if they want them to count against their 2020 salary caps at a rate of 75%/50%/25%.  On Monday, October 5th, the percentages will go to 90%/60%/30%.

League excel sheet will be rolled over on October 5th and will have the 2022 salary caps posted with the 2021 ProFSL rosters.  The 2021 Extension Contract Scale will also be posted on October 5th.

Prospects in the last year of their contracts, (P-2020)s, have until December 31st (11:59 pm ET) to be extended.  But it would be nice to post those extensions sooner than later.

The offseason will begin on Monday, October 5th.  Teams can begin trading now, however, players on (2020) or (P-2020) contracts cannot be traded.

FYPD will begin on Sunday, November 1st at 9:00 am ET.  However, since we have a full contingent of GMs, the Draft Room will be open if GMs want to get started earlier than 11/1.  Remember, the 60 day moratorium begins for all FYPD draftees on the date they are drafted.

Free agency will start with CIs in January, 2021.

Lastly, I am attempting to update all team histories for everyone’s general amusement.  I have to research some of the GM changes, but hopefully I will be able to update everyone’s team histories before long.

Any questions?  Send me a PM or post a reply. :toth:
