I looked around the league and was surprised to see there could be at least one team with close to or over $40 Million in cap space and possibly 5 teams with close to $20 Million! What surprises me is that the team with nearly $40M Avalanche have $9.2 Million freed up right now and $33.4 Million in buy out cap hits but if I read the rules properly, it is possible for all of the buy out cap to be erased if say the bought out player gets signed in Free Agency. Is that correct?
GREAT vote turnout everyone! Results after 14-days of voting by 27 teams:YES - 16NO - 6 EITHER/OR - 6 3 more teams are able to vote for 100% turnout. (They have until Oct 3, 2020.)Ultimately, given majority rule and with only 3 teams left to vote it's a Grand Slam for the "Yes" side and FNHL is set to decrease the cap by 5% in 2021-22. GREAT vote turnout everyone!
The results above are final at closing of our vote Oct 3, 2020.It was a landslide for the YES side who numbered nearly 3 times more votes than the NO's.Ultimately, this should help FNHL level the playing field longterm.
Well just take a look at this year's FNHL FA crop! It's worse than last year so this is a great call by Mordecai to table this rollback recommendation. Its going to be good for FNHL.But I'm going to guess next yr's FA period in FNHL will look like this year's NHL free agency with plenty of big names hitting the market.
Well to an extent, let’s not forget that the Seattle franchise I might purchase will be in play
