Backyard NHL: Archives / Re: Tanking« on: March 09, 2021, 06:39:04 PM »Quote He received an official warning today and we will keep a closer eye on his and all lineups in the near future. Sounds reasonable but help me understand what the standard is for us moving forward. Given that this is his 2nd formal warning is the rule now 3 strikes and you are out? Is everyone now safe to tank through 2 formal warnings or are we now holding ourselves to a higher standard? If so what does that look like? Well. here's another one for you from last week. Nobody checked to see why there was an illegal roster. He had 26 players active. After a couple days, he noticed and sent down "illegally" Alexis Lafreniere from the main roster to minors for compliance without posting on ProFSL Transactions. The penalty for the first person in Backyard to abuse a move from minor to major - major to minor without posting a transaction is: Roster Violation Minor League Roster Violations: Any GM found to be using an AHL player in an illegal manner with be penalized as follows: 1st violation - Lost of that week's match-up & official penalty on roster Moving a player up and down at free will without posting a move. The irony is the tanking GM is rewarded with a forfeited loss for the period. You can't make this up. 94

(Jonathan) - GM Code of Conduct Warning given for behaviour and lineup setting 96
Backyard NHL: Archives / Re: Tanking« on: March 04, 2021, 08:08:58 PM »
Conduct Code: For the purpose of defining conduct and responsibilities of General Manager.
5. Managers are to maintain their line-ups on the fantrax website. If general managers are deemed to be intentionally "throwing" a season they will be removed and replaced in the league. I'll be the bad guy, AGAIN, for bringing this to attention. 97

Can we please address the problem with Carolina Hurricanes.
Roster has been temporarily fixed, but this is a joke. I cant be the only gm that see's this gm sets roster every few weeks, maybe. Why isn't anything doing done about this. He hasn't accumulated hardly any points in almost a week due to illegal roster. This is consistent year after year. Look it up, he doesn't set roster but maybe once or twice a month. Year after year. Why is this allowed to happen. Gilly was replaced 1 month, marksman was replaced after not setting in 2-3 weeks. I can go on and on. This gm insults the GM's, and the integrity of this league. Tanking has brought him Spencer Knight, Askarov, Lafreniere. Drew would have dropped him in a minute. Please address this problem before we lose more quality gm's. I asked you a few months ago about not setting roster, read your reply. 98
