Franchise NHL: Completed Transactions / Ducks-Hurricanes Trade
« on: September 20, 2017, 12:55:09 PM »
Anaheim Trades:
Wayne Simmonds, $6.1m (2014-2018)
Colton Parayko, $5.7m (2017-2021)

Carolina Trades
Jesse Puljujarvi, $3.0m (2016-2019-EL)
Alex Galchenyuk, $5.8m (2016-2020)
Mark Stuart, $1.1m (2017-2019)

This is the other shoe that needed to drop after yesterday's trade. Puljujarvi will be a star and Galchenyuk is a good young player but Carolina is in win now mode. Simmonds and Parayko should make an immediate impact this year. After this season the Ducks win the trade which I'm ok with giving the state of the future prospects we have in the minors.

Ducks to Confirm.

Franchise NHL: Completed Transactions / Minnesota-Carolina Draft Floor Trade
« on: September 15, 2017, 09:16:18 AM »
Matt Hunwick, $1.5m (2015-2018)
Round 4 - 2017  (from :PHI-NHL:*)

For
D - Logan Stanley (2016: 1/18 - 0 Games)
SDP Round 1 - 2018

Trade a first round pick in last years draft to improve the depth on defense. The wild get closer to the cap ceiling and pick up a good prospect that's a couple of years away.

Franchise NHL: Completed Transactions / Arizona-Carolina Trade
« on: September 09, 2017, 03:13:27 AM »
Traded to the Coyotes:
Laurent Brossoit, $4.3m (2017-2020)
Round 1 - 2017  (from :SJ:*)

Traded to the Hurricanes:
Cory Schneider, $9.1m (2015-2020)

I felt we needed to add another starting goalie to have a legit shot in the metro. Thus We mortgage some of the future in the hopes that Schneider bounces back from his awful season last year.

Arizona gets the fourth overall pick and a good young goalie with a promising future to help with the rebuild.

Thanks Blk for the smooth trade talks.

Franchise NHL: Completed Transactions / Sharks-Hurricanes Trade
« on: August 31, 2017, 12:07:53 AM »
Sven Andrighetto, $0.4m (2016-2019-EL)
Kirill Kaprizov, $1.6m (2016-2019)
Nate Prosser, $0.2m (2016-2018)
SDP Round 2 - 2018 (supplemental Draft)

FOR

David Backes, $7.9m (2016-2020)

This is likely a one year rental of David Backes as he will likely get bought out after the season. Carolina wanted desperately to get Cam in FA but the price got a little out of hand so when I saw Brian was shopping Backes I figured it was a no brainier to give up some youth for a guy that will help our playoff chances in a tough division.

San Jose is rebuilding and pick up a future star in Kaprisov(although he's a couple years away from the NHL which made him expendable) and a young player who put up 16 points in 20 games down the stretch in Sven. Carolina also throws in a sup draft pick and journeyman d man Nate Prosser.

Thanks Brian and don't spend your newly found cap dollars all in one spot.

  • Daddy: Variety is what all of our leagues should be, no two alike. So we as a site can cater to all types. MLB LIVE lost a HOF level GM (Paul) because he doesn't do H2H leagues.
