LEGALITY OF ROSTERS
On legality of rosters: During the off-season team rosters do not have to be legal. With extension period through December, minor league promotions and the 3-round draft in January all teams (no matter what) will have 3 added rookies to their rosters. With off season trading until FA auction February 22, team rosters do not have to be legal. HOWEVER, starting with FA auction February 22 and through the regular season all team rosters MUST be legal.....and any FA acquisitions and trades (between Feb 22 - Mar 31 there is a 48-hour window to legalize rosters) and during the regular season the result of acquisition or trade must end with legal team roster.
New 2023: Beginning with regular season, any inactive GM on making lineup changes and any Dead Teams (No GM), the league office will for sake of league competitive reason will bench any player on IR and be replaced by a bench player of same position (only if there is one). The league office will not make any other lineup changes in game period.
