Title: Revocable Major League Waivers
Post by: EastCoastGonzo on August 04, 2021, 04:34:57 PM
Teams may place any player on their 40 - Man roster on Revocable Major League Waivers from August 1st to the 31st. Teams then have 48 hours to place a claim.

If no teams place a claim on a player within 48 hours of being posted then he has cleared waivers and his club may trade him to any club or keep him. Players that have cleared waivers will have a purple W on their spreadsheet. Claimed players will have a red CL, players with a red W may not be placed back on waivers or traded until after the conclusion of season.

If claims are placed on a player:

Waivers work as normal. If only one team has placed a claim on a player then that team gets an exclusive 48 hour window. If more than one team places a claim then the team with the higher waiver priority will receive the 48 hour window. The trade can be posted as normal but one of the GM's MUST POST that a trade has been reached in the original thread.

If no deal is reached within the 48 hour window, the original team will have the following options that MUST BE POSTED in the original thread:

1. The player's team may elect to revoke the claim and keep their player. If a claimed player is revoked then that player cannot be traded until after the World Series.

2. The player's team may elect to allow the claiming club to take the player and their remaining contract, unless taking the contract would put the team over the salary cap.

Must post either 1. "A trade has been posted" 2. "No Trade, revoking waivers" 3. "No trade, letting player go"

If nothing is posted by the original team then the claiming team will receive the claimed player so long as salary is not a concern. If this claim would put the claiming team over the salary cap then the claimed player will automatically revert to having cleared waivers.
