if a team had roster space and they decided to park a guy in the LTIR hole it would be ok. but in a deep 30 team league where scrubs count I can let someone stash a player especially if they are at the 30 man roster limit already.

Sorry didnt follow this.  Are you saying if I only had 28 players on my roster I could park a guy in LTIR and leave him? 

My thought with the IR was it was to create a roster spot that can be used but with the rules of the league its not really useable if we are forced to activate as soon as they are taken off IR.
I say this because we cant send our minor league players up and down freely.
There is no free drops where you don't take a cap hit, so there is no way to plug that open roster spot without taking on an extra player and their contract.

haha no, because I don't have 30. I still think a 5 game grace period or something, guy was forced up days before the team even played another game.  I guess its not a huge deal, but if I dont check everyday, and set my team ahead of time, I would of been screwed and never known. Oh well, at least it is easy on the guys running league, clearly the reason why it is that way lol.

I guess it's would end up being 3 years, 1.5 per.
