There have been more than a few muggings in these playoffs and it's barely off the ground. What's with the officiating? Anyone else notice the lack of calls on some obvious plays like the Cam Atkinson breakaway in the 4th OT against the Bolts and Hedman's holding him down by the back of Atkinson's pants!?!?!?! WTF. What was that non call?

The refs also had the same extended layoff for 4.5 months so they're going to show plenty of rust. I think the NHL has also given refs a memo to let teams play it out on the ice and limit the number of calls to ensure games move along. Old time hockey except there's way more speed involved.

I think Rangers are in the high risk reward range with this deal. Darcy has been pumping out the wins the more ice time the Yotes hand him. They might just ship Raanta and keep Adin Hill as Kuemper's understudy. Of course, Kuemper could also turn into Scott Darling on the Rangers roster but with a heftier cap hit of close to $10 million. Damn! Buds have a sure thing in a mid-2nd rounder plus a bluechip rookie in the kid with too many "A's" in his name, Saarela.
