Basic Draft Rules:
Only players from the current year draft are available to be drafted
We will use a 12-hour clock
Example: So if the draft starts at 10am EST, the first GM has until 10pm EST to make their selection. Once that pick is made, the 12-hour clock starts for the next GM - If pick 1 is made at 11:30am EST, the next GM has until 11:30pm EST to make their selection
Clock Stoppage Overnight:
We will stop the 12-hour clock from running through the night - we all have lives, families, etc here.
From 1:00am EST to 7:00am EST we will not count those 6 hours towards the 12-hour clock.
...It's not that you can't make your pick during that time, it's more-so a 6-hour freeze that doesn't count towards your 12-hour clock.
Once your pick is made, it would be a nice courtesy to Personal Message the next GM in line (or next 2-3 even) to let them know they are OTC.
We will send out a mass PM to the league when the draft starts - perhaps just "Reply All" to that PM once your pick is made, then everyone in the league knows where the draft is at.
All rookies will be assigned a 4 year contract with years 3 and 4 team options (highlighted in yellow on spreadsheet). You can find yearly salary below.
Rookie Salaries:
(Subject to change on a yearly basis to mimic the NBA Rookie Salary scale)
*NEW* starting for the 2019 Draft: Rookie Values are 40% less/off than Spotrac values (In other words, 60% of the actual value)
1st - $5.8m
2nd - $5.2m
3rd - $4.7m
4th - $4.2m
5th - $3.8m
6th - $3.5m
7th - $3.2m
8th - $2.9m
9th - $2.6m
10th - $2.5m
11th - $2.4m
12th - $2.3m
13th - $2.2m
14th - $2.1m
15th - $2.0m
16th - $1.9m
17th - $1.8m
18th - $1.7m
19th - $1.6m
20th - $1.5m
Picks 21-30 = $0.9m
Picks 31-40 = $0.5m
