Title: Remembering a Friend
Post by: Flash on December 27, 2022, 09:07:11 PM
Life is complicated and there are times when reality confronts us in a most disturbing way.  Sometimes things happen suddenly and we are left with a void in our lives.  Although I am no longer an active member of the ProFSL community, I felt compelled to offer my condolences.

I didn?t really know Papps personally, but I got to interact with him throughout my years as a member of the ProFSL community.

Like many of us involved in fantasy sports, there are times when we have a meeting of the minds, engage in healthy competition, and try our best to finish ahead of our competitors.  Papps was a master of negotiation.  He always presented his options in the best possible light, but was always fair.  Papps was never afraid to take a chance and always had a competitive team. That said, he never missed an opportunity to to voice his opposition to something that was detrimental to his team or the league.  By the same token, he provided a lot of insights to make ProFSL, and FGM, a better place for all.

On a personal note, Papps provided me with a lot of support.  When I was ill, he offered his best wishes for a speedy recovery.  When I popped off and sent a poison PM or acted up, he offered me an avenue to redeem myself, a way back.  When I decided to leave ProFSL, he thanked me for my work and wished me future success.  He was always a class act and he affected me in a very positive way.

So, although I didn?t know him personally, I was saddened to hear of his passing. He was truly a unique individual and was a well respected member of the ProFSL community.  My condolences to his family and to those who knew him here on ProFSL.  He will truly be missed.

With this, I would be remiss if I did not offer my condolences to the family of jojowalkwalk.  It is always sad to lose a family member and I wish his family the best.  I lost my parents many years ago and they are always in my heart.  For Daddy, and the rest of his family, keep yourselves  afloat by relying on the good times you shared.

May these two loving people Rest In Peace.
