Title: An all Canadian Division?

Writers in the NHL circle are talking of an all Canadian division. Are you in favor of this? Personally I am not, I think it would be like a second league. Plus I believe this will create another trophy.......the Canada Cup (winner of the Canadian Division). I guess I get it as the last Stanley Cup win for Canada was in 1993 by the Canadiens.

If it's to play the 2020/21 NHL season, then I'm all for it since the logistics and timing of border crossing and border reopening are murky at best these days. I'm thinking the remaining 3 divisions would be carved out of the US East-South, Central, West.

Not perfect but here's my COVID-realignment.

Canada Div
VAN, CGY, EDM, WPG, TOR, OTT, MTL

South-Central
CAR, DAL, FLA, NSH, PHI, STL, TB, WSH

North-East
BOS, BUF, CBJ, CHI, DET, MIN, NJD, NYI, NYR, PIT

West
ANH, ARI, COL, LA, SJ, VGK

That NE Div would be huge. I know it's just a quick and dirty so take my comments with a grain of salt.

The Canadian div would be easy, it's the rest of the teams States side that are going to be messy to realign for COViD season.

With the border being closed for an extended period of time, the Cdn division is a must for the NHL. But the states will be a mixed bag for sure.
