Title: Buffalo off to good start but 5th

Wow, can't believe that Buffa-slug logo is used on this site.

Anyone notice the Sabres are 5th despite being 6-4 after 10 games?! Not bad but they're still sitting 5th behind :TOR-NHL: :BOS-NHL: :TBL: :MON-NHL:

I like the turn around so far in Buffalo!

I'm actually a little surprised to see Buffalo with a winning record. Hutton as their starter must be paying off. Guess the rebuilding has finally shown a positive ROI in Buffalo.

Sabres are still 5th in the Atlantic. Hutton seems to be a stabilizing force in net for Buffalo.

The sniff test with the Sabres isn't good. Their goaltending is an issue and not an easy fix. Some clubs take years to fix the problem in net. Since Miller left, Buffalo's been struggling to find a guy to plug in nightly. It also doesn't help that their defence has been weak and not much help is in sight.

Sabres are currently sitting tied for 3rd with Boston (22pts) in the Atlantic Division. Not bad. Buffalo even beat Tampa Bay last night 2-1.

Hutton has been lights out.
Another backup goalie having a career season so far is Leafs' waiver fodder 35yo Curtis McElhinney. Practically stoned the Canadiens last night making 48 saves! Time to unload Mrazek (26yo) and Darling (29yo) for a back of popcorn or something. :rofl:

Sabres are climbing in the standings thanks to Hutton. Ullmark will be good for them too.
