On the understanding that Boston will use 1st over-all to draft Ryan Donato Arizona trades down and will select a less mature prospect at 2nd. In return I get Heiskanen over whatever D I would have drafted at 8th. Thanks for the deal Rob!

I don't usually go after Bruins - as evidenced by my roster.  But I really enjoyed watching Donato in the Olympics and he made a nice splash at the end of the year.  It kinda blew my mind that they didn't call him up in the playoffs over the likes of Tommy Wingels or Brian Gionta... I'm very excited to see what he does in 18/19.  He may not be the best pure skill player in the draft but he's certainly the closest to the NHL.  I think i can gain an adequate replacement for Heiskanen at 1-8.

and to think, if i'd had any foresight.  I could have kept him in 2014.

I think Slack still gets the player he was going to take anyways at 2 and gets a better/more mature D as he mentioned, than say a Dobson.

But if I’m Rob and want a hometown kid, I’d do the same thing to take the risk out of the equation (ie. if Pettersson was available). Rob...Remember when you traded your boy Davy Pastrnak for Jimbo Vessey?
