Its been discussed recently that it might be better to open up FA to all positions rather than spreading positions across weeks. Rather than just make a decision I decided to open it up to an ad-hoc poll. Please post your preference in the thread A, B or C. Any tie will be broken by commish.
A) Leave FA as is. Week 1 Catchers, Week 2 CIs, Week 3 MIs, Week 4 OFs, Week 5 SPs, Week 6 RPs, Week 7 forward all players.
B) Week 1 position players, Week 2 Pitchers, Week 3 forward all players.
C) All players open to have bids started on from day 1 FA.
Keep in mind the rules when voting. Specifically that teams are limited to 6 winning bids at any given time, a winning bid must stand for 48 hours before that player is signed, some teams will have much more to spend than other teams and your personal ability to be around when some players may be bid on. Rules can be found here for review

This is the biggest league out there we have always done it this way and this is one of the easiest ways to do it why make changes when u don't need it.
-
C
-
I think we just leave it, but I’m completely ok no matter what way it goes.
-
I'm fine with FA as is. A.
-
A, I like the structure and flow to free agency. Also everyone at once could become an administrative albatross.
-
A, proven method and more importantly...... easiest/cleanest for the mods.
C is the worse, by far.
-
B
I'd be fine with A but maybe we could just flip the order so we start with P or OF first.
-
Personally, I like the idea of option B. This option pushes owners to have a true strategy going into the FA calendar. Teams with a lot of salary will be forced to prioritize because of the limit of six open bids. Teams with less money will have to pick the low hanging fruit or timing their bids strategically.
A option is second. The timeline is too long and heavily benefits teams who have wholesaled their teams.
Option C would be chaos and would need other revisions.
-
without tiers will be hard to sort thru everything keep track of money
-
I am good with A but wouldn't be opposed to B either.
-
Being new to this league, I am ok with any. I will vote C, because I like the added strategy of fitting my 6 winning bids in at one time, but I can see how chaotic that would be on the administration. I would not want to police that. "A" is a safe and solid play.

The results are as follows
A- 6
B- 2
C- 3
For what it’s worth, that’s not counting my vote and I would vote A as well.
Therefore we will leave it as is. :judge:
Thanks to everybody who voted and if any of you want to change the format next year we can always discuss it at the end of the next season along with any other potential changes.
