Derick Brassard: Brassard (shoulder) will not be able to take contact until at least Oct. 6, the Ottawa Sun reports. "We're aiming for Game 1, but it's kind of complicated," he said. "If that's not happening, I'm going to try and join the team as fast as I can and try to help out."
