Basically there's a MAX of 48pts for each team collect down the stretch. So mathematically even Calgary can catch Arizona and Edmonton if they string a few wins together while the Pacific #2 and #3 teams trip and stumble.

A bunch of IFs. HAHA

They could probably catch them quicker if they could beat them  :o

Pretty much only chance we get at wins is when we play each other  :P

I was afraid PPG was going to put us in the bottom 6.

Weird but I was worried my Senators were in the Bottom 6. Guess I should start hoping for a spot in that group to get a better draft pick.

Ottawa is 30pts back of Toronto and only have shot at 48pts in the final 6wks. Ouff.

:iatp: Great post, PPG!

There are about 5 or 6 guys that could turnout to be good players but there's no one really elite in this draft. In my opinion Nico Hischier is on the same tier as Nolan Patrick. Not sure who Carolina would choose if the draft was today.

it's also supposed to be a deep draft for goalies but that's always a crap shoot.

There doesn't appear to be the franchise type, like McDavid, Matthews, etc. but it is supposed to be deep with A- to B+ types all thru out the top 20.

Agreed, there is no telling who Carolina might take, but they did draft Aho, so the scouting may know what they are doing.

All the Goalies are supposed to be promising, but it takes a while for Goalies drafted high to be trusted at the NHL level.

Aho is from Finland. There is another solid crop of Finns, both on offense and defense this year. Its been quite a 3 year run for them.  Last year's class was particularly special with 3 of the top 5 picks. I don't see that happening this year, but its a class to keep an eye on.

Couldn't agree more. Thought I have the upper hand with the knowledgebeing a Finn myself but yes you are right, there is plenty of Finnish talent in this years draft too.

Dahlin is better than anyone in this draft for me. Something to look forward to in 2018.

This marks the end of a rough campaign for him where he posted a 3.38 GAA and .898   save percentage in 24 games. I like the Defensemen in this crop. It's not a bad draft at all, just not a franchise type at the top.

The Draft will be decent enough. No one is going to make me want to drop my pants and bend over in an effort to draft them.

Don't see you putting those 3 first round picks on a stroll in high heels neither.

Them ladies are rapped up pretty tight in Philly. Meanwhile as predicted a little TLC has seen Philly upgrade this seasons outlook. I guess papps didn't leave behind too bad a crop of assets as I stated before the sale.

Good on you both.  :toth:

Papi did alright by the Orange & Black.

With any team, sometimes a big shake up is the best thing.
Philly needs it in FNHL & NHL!
