Vegas Receives: G - Daniil Tarasov (2017: 3/86 - 0 Games)
D - Martin Fehervary (2018: 2/46 - 6 Games)

Vancouver does this trade to acquire DeSmith who only lost the backup job this year due primary to Jarry being 1m cheaper in cap. Send that of Tarasov who atleast 3 years away from the NHL and has 3 young goalies infront of him in the CBJ depth chart, lose Fehervary who broke into the capitals lineup but primary a shutdown D and 3rd round pick.
With DeSmith can place him in the minors so not taking up a roster place.

Like it before the trade deadline, as makes trades more interesting in that they could go either way, with just one player getting moved to another team and getting more TOI, could easily push it in favour of one team.

Just look at JT Miller last year 3rd line on Tampa and low PP time if at all and 71st LW on fantrax, gets traded to Vancouver in the summer and placed on the Lotto Line (Petey, Brock and JT) and given 1PP time and now 10th LW.

Palat is having a good year in Tampa, but believe Barbashev has potential to put up similar numbers next year as Palat is this year, plus Barbashev is egilable as a C, LW, RW and 4 years younger, while Palat just LW.
Issac is a shut down D but had good pts numbers in the Mooseheads last year.
