Ranking Minor League Systems

Since this is a deep league I was curious to see who has the best minor league system.
So I took the Baseball Americas Top 100 Prospects
http://www.baseballamerica.com/minors/2014-baseball-america-top-100-prospects-free/
I took the 100 and assigned points in a scale from #1 being worth 100 points, #2 worth 99...etc. 5050 points in all then I totaled them up and here is how it goes...
1.

Nice work! I was thinking of doing this but doing an average of the top 100 lists from MLB.com, BA.com, and ESPN.
11 Astros! 8 in the top 50! Hope they pay off!

Speaking of minor league systems, Julio Urias started a spring training game today. He's only 17. One inning, 2 k's, no runners. He looked good.

There is an interesting difference between the two leagues. However, it would be a lot close had the Astros not moved from the NL to the AL

Also agreed. Top quality pitching probably means not much depth. A few injuries can challenge you. Pitching other than top end pitching has been devalued in fantasy. Everyone wants the stud.

The problem with the minors is not the system as a whole, it is some Farm Systems are more 'elite' at being able to produce talent than others. If you look across MLB teams you can pretty easily tell the great systems from the weaker systems and talent development
