Regular Season Records Broken

Before the Playoffs get under way thought it would be nice to give a space to all those records that were broken this regular season.

The Blues broke the record for most goalie wins with 78, the previous high was 76.  That would've been impressive, but this year's Buffalo Sabres had 90 goalie wins which is just monstrous.  Congrats Buffalo.

Sabres also broke the record for most saves with 4,007; up from 3,812.

Canucks broke my record of most shots on goal by 1.  They now hold the record with 2,952.

And that is it.  That is the list of record breakers.  Well done.  I'm betting we see some playoff records broken with the quality of teams that are in the league now.

Oh I was close a couple of years.  I actually had the 4th best this year at +45, which can only mean I have the fewest NHL Hurricanes players I've ever had.
