Proposed by Tony.
This would simply be pushing the 2nd extension period to start after NHL free agency has proceeded. This would mean that our second extension period would be for 2 weeks following the completion of our Entry Draft.
Any questions, comments, or concerns.
Please feel free to say Yah or Nah as well!

Yes

I vote Yes but not a big deal to me either way.
-
Yes it needs to be extended to around two weeks after real life FA.
For example
Extensions deadline July 15th
Trading open July 16th
Entry draft August 1st
Backyard FA September 1st.
-
Ok for the extension

How about we spell out the net result? What does a yes vote actually mean? Does this close out the buy-out loophole at the end of the season?

I don't think it does anything to buyout loophole. Only result would be that we have a clearer picture of who is where and what role they should be playing for the upcoming season.

I think this helps the buy out loop hole. For example, what if I decided to extend Pavel Datsyuk, and then I found out he decided to go to Russia. With this set up, I have full knowledge of where Datsyuk will be, and thus, I ca use the buy out loop hole.
I think if we are to do this, we should also talk about the loop hole. Is it harmful?
I am going to leave this thought here before I give my opinion, so people can think on it.

I think the buy-out period should close on the last day of the regular season. Leave the extensions how they currently are and just close the loophole instead!

The Backyard or NHL regular season?

Backyard.

I'm fine with pushing the extension period back. But I think that the draft should happen before the extension period closes. There are a lot of draft time deals and it could lead to more trading and resigning of expiring contracts.

Can you expand on why you feel this loop hole should be closed?

Going to go ahead and make the commissioner decision of a pass of this proposal!
Extension Period #2 will begin following our entry draft for a 2 week period. Free Agency will follow the extension period with a couple days of lay off for roster processing.
