Title: WCB2 - State of the League for 2019
Post by: Flash on October 19, 2018, 08:02:07 PM
WCB2 GMs,

I am sending this out as a league wide PM and postin it on the WCB2 board.  At the present time, 14 of our teams have a GM who has checked in to compete in 2019.

We have a few new GMs, Brent taking over the :CHC: after Teton announced that he would not return; and Jorge, who takes over the :SD:

With that, we presently have two teams without a committed GM:  The :COL: GM, Indiansnation, decided not to return and the :ATL: has apparently been abandoned by GeoffTheScout.  Each of those teams are in different divisions.

My suggestion is to simply contract to 14 teams, 7 in each division, and release the players on the :COL: and :ATL: rosters into free agency.  Neither of those teams made the playoffs in 2018 and, as many of you might recall, :ATL: had to be placed into receivership because it was abandoned by the GM prior to GeoffTheScout taking over late in the season.

We could wait to see if there are some willing souls who want to jump in as replacement GMs, but quite frankly, that does not seem to be a promising endeavor considering my repeated efforts to recruit even one replacement GM.

What are you thoughts on this situation?  Please post your opinions.

I’d prefer not to contract any further. I’m not that thrilled being under 20 teams already. We have time to have other GMs sign up.
