Orioles get:
Jose Berrios $4m (2025)
Jared Walsh (spec)
Francisco Alvarez (spec)

Expos get:
Max Fried $0.5 (P-2022)
Joey Bart (spec)
Bobby Dalbec $0.5 (P-2024)
Nolan Jones (spec)

I was going to have pay Fried after the year anyway so Berrios gives me a bit of long term cost certainty and I?m able to get a prospect I coveted and a promising first baseman for guys whose ceiling I?ve been waiting on for what seems like too long.

Paying Fried after the season should not be an issue, and if not for Anderson, Fried wold be the Braves bonafide ace. Expos are doing this as Dalbec has the power to play in Boston and Bart has been blocked forever it seems by the great Buster Posey and will finally get his chance this season. We may give up some production short-term, but given Walsh is 28 and we cut cap, we're happy with this deal.
