Title: Lightning/Blues Trade
Post by: King Boseman on September 19, 2020, 12:32:29 PM: St Louis Blues are pleased to announce a trade with the Tampa Bay Lightning to bring in a true veteran defender to anchor our blue line for the 2020/21 season. This deal allows us to shed cap and make future moves our club needs to make. The new ownership group wants to move quickly through the retooling phase.

:STL-NHL: Ben Hutton, $4.4m (2017-2020) … 3.0m (2020-2023)
Mason Marchment, $1.4m (2019-2021)
Michael Carcone, $1.4m (2019-2021)

:iatp: :TBL: Confirms. We have space to eat cap. We're moving Chara who's probably a yr away from a full-time coaching gig and adding a prospect we've liked for a while with Bellerive. Ideally we land a DP as well but the King wouldn't have it so we're good with getting younger in this deal. Thanks King Boseman and good luck with your season. :toast:

Chara seems ageless and that’s a good contract

Smart trade both ways. Blues are well underway to a new and improved look.
