With the increase in NHL player salaries, FNHL will revisit the Skater extension values to ensure our fantasy values are in-line (and not totally screwed up).
Any changes will be implemented starting in 2020-21 upon roll-over of contracts (say mid-August).
Comments?!?!? Let's hear it from the bleachers. LOL

I think it's a good idea. Inflation.

100% agree forwards need a bump
Goalies rank 6-25 certainly need a pay raise.
I’ve felt the salaries on D haven’t been worth returns outside of the top 10 or 15 elite blueliners. Adding salary to the top D makes sense; I wouldn’t touch the rest of those D salaries.
My two cents towards current values.
We all knew this was coming behind league cap extensions, free first year rookies, and improved management flexibility to control player contracts resulting from supplemental picks.
Thanks for reading the league needs and clearly communicating PPG! Great leadership

100% (http://www.profsl.com/smf/Smileys/default/agreepost.gif)
The best Fantasy Hockey League will just keep getting better.

Totally fair to make that change. Cap has been going up non stop so that will make values more realistic.
-
I am on side with the possibility of an increase to skater extensions.

More feedback from FNHL owners?!?
-
It looks like the salary cap is 15% higher today than it was in the 11-12 season. I would be in favor of just adding 15% to all extension values to bring things back in line to when the league started.
-
Like halo said would be fine with that of an 15% increase in skater values to bring it back of %cap value of 2011-12 season

Having gone through the 2019 rollover, I have to say the Defense extensions seem excessively lower than I remember. Not sure why. Dougie Hamilton had an old contract for 8.4 but ranked 4th overall he got an extension for 7.0m?
That doesn't seem right. Will have to checkin with PR.
But the Skater extensions need to go North at least the top 25 at each forward and D position.
That way there's more cap pressure throughout the league and the Free Agent pool will be more interesting for all.

Hamilton was a FA contract @ 8.4

Hardly worth the points production per cap dollar on either deal. :puke:

Always like how we overspend in free agency ... myself included ... just like the clowns in charge in the NHL. *cough* Kevin Shattenkirk *cough* Wade Reddon *cough* Brad Richards *cough* ... OK, maybe it's just the Rangers (http://www.profsl.com/smf/Smileys/default/rotfl.gif)

Definitely the :NYR: LOL

Extensions definitely need to be raised. That is a reality for a fantasy league that doesn't have actual player agents to pump up player salaries.
-
I say you take the 5 most senior FNHL owners, create an Agent Committee to vet the extension increase range and post the new rates.
That way the commissioners get input from knowledgeable long standing owners who have seen the FA & extension cycles thru the years.

We will soon contact a group of longtime FNHLers to review the extension ranges. PPG, get on it buddy!

Hi guys, when are the contract extension values increasing. It sort of impacts my trade strategy and value of deals.

It looks like mid-august when the contracts roll over. It looks like the exact details are yet to be determined, as far as cost.
-
Given the expected spike in the 2020-21 NHL salary cap ceiling, the extension increase will take effect April 5th. New extension values to come in the following weeks.

:bump: Friendly reminder to all.
-
:bump: more time than ever to look over your team's expiring contracts and see who needs an extension before values go up.
