:TOR: agrees to the posted trade.

Took us a week to hash things out, but figured out the pieces.

Yeah, I'm depleting my top end prospects, that's for sure. Have to try to keep up with the moves LAA made as well as catch up to Baltimore (good luck, they're pretty well a lock to win this league this season!).

And in acquiring Trout, he'll take up close to 20% of my team's salary cap next season which sucks, but if he continues to produce, it'll be worth it.

Hoping Lindor bounces back after a slow start. I feel like I'm trading for him based on last year's value, but he's still young so hopefully he has a good 2nd half. He'll also be expensive to re-sign in the summer, but again, if he can produce, it'll be worth it.

Sucks I won't get to see Tucker and Urias break into the league full time and light it up like they're hyped up to be, but I'm trading for the "now" instead of the "future" ... Even though the "future" will be next season for a lot of the guys I'm sending over.

Appears to be solid value for both teams.  :iatp:

Toronto has full roster and needs added adjustments

:judge:....SEE ABOVE POST

In case you need clarification for how my roster isn't full:
Trout for Mancini
Lindor for Weaver (via La Stella going to IR)
Treinen & Vasquez for Buttrey & Anderson (both sent to Minors)
Garver straight to the Minors

By my count that leaves me with a couple of OPEN roster spots down in the Minors still
(and yes that means I can't sign all the PC guys I bid on in FA)

:judge: I performed the trade at fantrax. Then taking a look at team rosters Toronto will have 3 roster players in minors as Mike Trout, Felipe Vasquez, Blake Treinen, in my book a horrid mess. Sorry, I have overturned the trade and Tampa Bay and Toronto will have to make adjustments to trade and resubmit.

This is going to be a great league and I for one will have no one manipulate the system of trading and free agency for the sake of it and in 2020 there will also be a block to the # of trades and acquisitions of players by each team.

This is a more simple dynasty salary cap league and I for one will operate as is and the spread sheets look great

This is what makes no sense to me.

Did Yeagg and I do something to make you think we’re manipulating whatever crummy rules Flash wrote out when he started this league?

As far as I know , we just made a trade here.

Wow, this is interesting. Can I filter into this discussion? My 2 cents worth, after looking at both team rosters: Toronto is 11-4 in the East and I would say has a pretty nice team going forward without this trade, possible league championship. Tampa Bay is 8-7 in the East and a playoff bound team. Why in the hell would Tampa Bay trade the AL most likely to be MVP Trout? I also think that this league ruling on cash bonus and cash exchange is confusing and needs to be altered or eliminated to make this league a more simple dynasty salary cap league. Sorry, that part is what is confusing to me and I think that Cliff knows best. If I were still eligible to be on trade committee I would  :veto: this trade myself.

If this makes it easier to see, here is a simplified version with Cliff's contract layout:

Toronto Trades:
1B Mancini, Trey, $0.3m (P-2020)
SP Weaver, Luke, $0.3m (P-2021)
2B Urias, Luis, $0.3m (P-n/a)
OF Tucker, Kyle, $0.3m (P-n/a)
OF Sanchez, Jesus, $0.3m (P-n/a)
SP Allen, Logan, $0.3m (P-n/a)
SP Sanchez, Sixto, $0.3m (P-n/a)

Tampa Trades:
C Garver, Mitch, $0.3m (P-n/a)
OF Trout, Mike, $10m (2019)
SS Lindor, Francisco, $0.3m (P-'19)
RP Treinen, Blake, $1.1m (2019)
RP Vasquez, Felipe, $6m (2021)
+ $17.1m cash from TB to TOR 2019
+ $5m cash from TB to TOR in 2020
+ $5m cash from TB to TOR in 2021

I mean, if you just want a simple dynasty league, why not just join a league on Yahoo or ESPN?
It's tough to transition a league that was set up as a more complex salary cap league to change it to a simplified version league, when there are existing contracts and cash exchanges, etc. already in place.

:judge: fantrax & SS   .....this one trade was the most difficult one to execute in 2019. Even so I approved the trade, this one trade should never happened and this is on record. First off, after executing trade at fantrax, I realized that 3 roster players for Toronto ended on minors in the form of OF Trout, RP Vasquez & RP Treinen. I then overturned the trade, notifying Toronto GM that further moves would have to be made. He complied by promoting 3 minors who he was trading and demoting to eligible players from roster to minors. This worked out and the trade was executed. However, on the side of Tampa Bay, I then realized that their roster after the trade had only 2 RP and for a legal roster lineup you need 3 RP starting. It just so happened, Tampa Bay had one (1) RP in minors and the move was made to promote same so Tampa Bay would have a legal lineup to compete. When I talk about Just for the sake of it, I am talking about making unnecessary moves. The Tampa Bay GM has been involved in 12 trades in 2019 and that will not happen again as in 2020 a lock on trades made by team GM will be limited.  Also, for the record, a lock will be forced on teams making moves.
