1) Granlund would renew as a Center @ $2.7m for 2 or 3 years.
If a player has multiple positions, the contract must be equal to, or greater than, the higher salary of the positions.
It's not the highest rank you're looking for, but the highest salary.
2) The Sedin buyout would need to be paid all this year. Which still works out the same because Sedin only has 1 year left (I think you were assuming 2). So it would be:
X Henrik Sedin, $3.8m (2017-2018) Released contract through 2017/18.
