For me, an experienced member of this site, the rule and the expectations were unclear. That is what caused me to ask the question in the first place. Because as far as I can tell abusing the buy-out system is encouraged. Let's not forget the debate around the loophole.

Personally I would like to see a change of attitude towards refining and clarifying the rules. Let's aim higher and work together to make this league as good and as professional as it can possibly be.

The question I asked was as follows:

Hey guys, a question about non-variable term lengths for FA contracts: Would a winning FA bid of $4m be a sort of work-around and amount to a 2 year deal at $2m per?

It was an honest question. As it stands the only thing that is clear is that a $4m bid will be changed into either a $4.5m or a $6m bid, depending on which way the wind is blowing. If that is the extent of your feedback I am unimpressed.

Be great if you kids put some links into the FA discount posts. I will ignore the ones that don't have a BooYah!  reference to the actual new contract. Not going to do the secretarial work and chase down your discount.

Ladislav Smid, $0.3m (2013-2015) does that mean his contract is done this year and needs to be extended in the off season or done at the end of next season...??

LTIR only frees up a roster spot in fnhl. cap remains intact.
