Don't we follow what the real NHL cap is?
-
I believe the figure is $74.5 Million for 2016-17 but it has yet to be confirmed.
-
Gary will prob announce a cap number right in the middle like $73.0
The less he lets owners spend to shoot themselves in the foot by overpaying players the bigger the profit for the league. Why let salaries get out of hand by slowing the annual raise of the cap.
-
What is the cap number for next year? I don't want to extend anyone until I know for sure.

with the Canadian dollar on the outs i hear the cap is in danger of going the wrong way. This wont sit well with the NHLPA. If thats the case they (NHLPA) will exercise the escalator clause which will park the cap at 74 mil
-
NHLPA voted to up it, so it will be more than last year. Still waiting on official number.
