Title: Stars-Isles Trade
Post by: mcrow on August 05, 2019, 11:34:33 AM
Stars (http://profsl.com/smf/Smileys/default/DAL-NHL2.png) send to the Isles (http://profsl.com/smf/Smileys/default/NYI.png)

Round 2 - 2019 (50 overall)
Round 4 - 2019 (112 overall)
Boone Jenner, $6.1m (2016-2020)  3.8m (2019-2022)

Isles (http://profsl.com/smf/Smileys/default/NYI.png) send to the Stars (http://profsl.com/smf/Smileys/default/DAL-NHL2.png)

Brock McGinn, $0.2m (2017-2019)
Colton Sissons, $0.8m (2016-2019-EL)
Noah Hanifin, $2.1m (2016-2019)

Johnny to confirm ... thanks for the talks and best of luck!

For the Stars ... Jenner was the toughest here to part with. But we feel like we are getting three young, productive players on reasonable contracts given their value with positional flexibility. Getting out in front of free agency (over)spending here. We obviously will be extending all three ... separate post pending.

:NYI: confirm

Cap is king here.
Happy to add Jenner. Great players leaving us but unfortunately we couldn’t afford handing out extensions to them.

Thanks for reallly smooth talks!

I believe this trade is balanced given the cap constraints of the Islanders.

:iatp: Stars get players to post points while Islanders get cap relief. Win-win.
