The Angels have pitching they are looking to trade. We are still a couple seasons away, so current pitching that could help present contenders is available.

is looking for low-cost CI to fill in while Belt heals...willing to deal from EDR and prospects set to arrive in next couple of seasons...not looking to part ways with anyone currently contributing to the starting lineup or logging meaningful time.

Willing to part with either J. Heyward ( $4M 2017,13.18 PPG and rising) or S.Smith ( $6M 2016 w/$1M paid,28.6 PPG) in return for a quality starter at a good price. Open for discussion, let me know.

Atlanta will entertain offers for Oscar Taveras. I have received interest in him from some and would like to see what the market is like for him

My issue in LIVE currently is having Strider/Alcantara/Giolito all on the long shelf, so I am more retooling than rebuilding

Also agreed. Top quality pitching probably means not much depth. A few injuries can challenge you. Pitching other than top end pitching has been devalued in fantasy. Everyone wants the stud.

I here to tell you that ALL major league pitching is good pitching. A great hitter beats a terrible pitcher just 3 out of 10 times. Which means the worst pitchers > the greatest hitters.

Greg Maddux had the best outlook. He viewed himself as tye dealer/house and you had to beat him. Just like in the casino, the house nearly always wins.

He had that view b/c of his father who was a blackjack dealer in Vegas.

Yes @Brent!! That is it exactly. Pitching is the house & it always wins in the end.

There shouldn't be many innings available in FA in dynasty fantasy leagues IMO. Thats guaranteed money! To hell with High A ball.

Until someone starts a minor league baseball fantasy game or option. Maybe we can petition fantrax? I just dont think they will care for that.

The problem with the minors is not the system as a whole, it is some Farm Systems are more 'elite' at being able to produce talent than others. If you look across MLB teams you can pretty easily tell the great systems from the weaker systems and talent development

With regard to pitching in the Minors...there is method to the madness. It is all about what you make of it tho. I agree that it can seem certain type arms in the minors are a dime a dozen

Mr Braves you are my guy. There isnt anything wrong with minor league studs or flops. I get it in REAL baseball.

This is fantasy baseball. We dont generate revenue selling prospects and merchandising. Our top farms dont get a write up in Sports Illustrated.

Load up on MLB guys, then near MLB guys, and only then is the quality of your prospects matter. Ya dig

Now either there are a lot of people copying our style or trying to learn it.. or possibly there is just that much interest by visitors. Maybe both. Either way, we got to be doing something right. The NHL LIVE season, will start with an amateur draft.
