As you should... It was a swap of some great young players - only time will tell how it works out, and the consensus view on a prospect is hardly an exact predictor (neither Beckham nor Feliz are sure things).
Exactly. Speculation on prospects is scary. Jay Bruce came thru the system and was MiLB POY. Had a good rookie year and then 2009...ouch. I had an asset and, I think, turned it into two assets. Time will tell.

How many players over the years were late bloomers? Gamels and his pedigree was killin' it in 3A and McGehee started in front of him in Milwaukee. Plus I got a top 5 pitching prospect. I'll stand by the trade.

Brewers by far in my opinion. Puljols and Beckham.
I don't understand the infatuation with Gordon Beckham. Absolutely a good infielder. Compare with McGehee: G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI TB BB SO SB CS OBP SLG AVG 116 355 58 107 20 1 16 66 177 34 67 0 2 .360 .499 .301 Beckham: 103 378 58 102 28 1 14 63 174 41 65 7 4 .347 .460 .270 Pretty much comparable and McGehee fended off Gamels who was supposed to be the Brewers top 2 or 3 prospect. Yes, I'm thrilled to get him a N.Feliz for Beckham and a 2A pitcher

The White Sox send: P Danks, John, $0.5m (P-2010) OF Mitchell, Jared, $0.5m (P-n/a) C Flowers, Tyler, $0.5m (P-n/a) 4-19 CHW (from STL) to the Brewers for: OF Ethier, Andre, $14.5m (2010) 2-28 MIL Very few player I would trade Flowers for. Jay Bruce is one but, believe it or not, Dan won't budge. Andre Ethier is another. Love him as a player and I need OF. I get a 2nd Rd pick to boot. Brewers was on his way out the door but he should confirm shortly

I understand and agree. A player like Dayan Viciedo would be eligible? One question I do have concerning the Entry Draft- Will the pool be strictly those players selected in July 2010 or will minor league player not currently on our rosters be eligible also?

After over night discussion the ChiSox and Dodgers have agree to the following: Dodgers get AJ Pierzynski $6.5 (2010) and $3m cash ChiSox get Angel Salome $0.5m (P-n/a) Basically a cost cutting deal on the Sox part, besides you can't have too many Catching prospects. Dodgers to confirm

Hate to lose either player, let alone both but a Tex doesn't come along everyday. I accept this deal
