Chicago management completes a trade to bring in a helping hand for our post-season drive by dealing veteran power forward Ladd who's on the mend. Tampa agrees I move Simon for a player I like more in ladd

I like the deal. Ladd is on the way back with the top Metro Division team. Simon is showing the potential that made the Pens draft him as an overager.

Not a bad trade for the teams involved. Ladd should be good for another 2-3yrs and Simon is good until the Pens trade or replace him with someone better which is something they do annually up and down the roster.

When Ladd plays he's a the kind of power fwd you want on your team but he has also been in and out of the lineup in the recent past. But that Isls team is good this year thanks to Trotz.
