Sorry to do this, but unfortunately remembered in rules we actually have a clause if you release a player you cannot bid on them for 30 days. I think I need to enforce this to not set a bad precedent and therefore this bid is invalid.

From the rules section:

Bidding on Released Players

Any player who is bought out on the Transactions thread is eligible to be bid on right away by the other 19 teams.
However, a team who released a player may not bid on that player for a period of 30 days.

Looks like buyout was January 29th, so Febuary 29th you would be allowed to bid if he is still a FA at this time.
